Radium Hot Springs
Located at the north end of the Columbia Valley, Radium Hot Springs features Canada’s largest hot springs pool. The odourless hot springs come up through a fault in the earth that’s more than two kilometres deep.
The shatter zone around the fault lets groundwater seep close to the earth’s core heating, pressurizing and returning it to the surface. In Radium you’ll also find an abundance of wildlife including a heard of Bighorn sheep which are often found cruising through town.
The Village of Radium Hot Springs is called home by just a few hundred residents and in the summer hosts the weekly Music on Main and Market on Main events along its main street. During one weekend in September hundreds of classic cars roll into town for a weekend show and shine. Radium Hot Springs is also home to fine dining, family dining, a grocery store, liquor store, gas stations and pubs – mostly located along the walkable main street.
